Woman gang-raped in moving car in Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD: A woman was gang-raped in a moving car in Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad on Friday night between Arthala Peer and Hindon Bridge. Police said the woman, 22, who resides in Nand Nagri area of Delhi, lodged a complaint with the Sahibabad police station in which she said she came to offer prayers at Arthala Peer on Friday. When she was waiting on the Grand Trunk Road for a tempo to return home, four people dragged her into a car and gang-raped her in the slow moving vehicle. They dumped her near the Haj house under construction and sped away from the spot. After regaining her senses, she rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint in which she said Hemant and Lala, sons of Chandra Pal (the woman’s landlord) and two other unidentified people outraged her modesty. “We have registered the complaint and sent the woman for medical examination but no external injury was found. Regarding sexual intercourse, she was found to be habitual.
