Teacher forces oral sex on minor

BHOPAL: A 5-year-old girl was allegedly tied, blindfolded and forced to undergo oral sex by her teacher at a government primary school in Sagar district. The incident took place at Devrikalan village under Goharjhamar police station area – 55 km from the district headquarters. The survivor is a student of Class I. Her parents came to know about the offence on Saturday after the girl refused to go to school for fear of having to face it again, police said. She had returned early from school on Thursday and was crying. However, she did not inform her parents despite repeated attempts. On Saturday, when her mother accompanied her to school and enquired about it, one of the students told teacher Surendra Valmik, 40, exploited her when she was alone in the school. Later, the school principal and police were told about it. “There are two buildings of the school, one of them is old one and remains deserted. After the lunch session, the accused asked her to come with a bottle of water at the old building. As soon as she reached the premises, he dragged her inside a room, blindfolded her and committed oral sex on her,” said M K Jaget, station house officer of Goharjhamar police station. The girl was sent for medical examination. No internal injuries were found, sources said. He has been booked under provisions of Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act. “We are trying to arrest him,” the SHO said.
