Elizabeth Warren: The Other Woman in American Politics

Move over Hilary Clinton, there is a new star in American politics—Elizabeth Warren. She is the Massachusetts Senator and an increasingly key Democrat and more than that, she is an all-rounder and an incredible woman. She is a growing political powerhouse that proves that not only can women be savvy politicos, but that a woman can go from a middle-class housewife to a potential world leader without a famous name to back her up (no shade to Hilary Clinton). Elizabeth Warren is known for being a fierce criticizer of financial institutions and often calls into question the lack of legislation controlling financial institutions. So, to celebrate this rising tide, here are 5 great quotes that pretty much sum up why so many people hope to see Warren run for president in our lifetime. In fact, the campaign RunWarrenRunbuilt by her supporters, urging her to run in the 2016 electionsstill have hope that they will see their idol in office, sooner rather than later.

All in all, whether she runs for the president or not, it is clear that Ms. Warren will be a political force to be reckoned with. The more we learn about her, the more we will admire her. Not only did she break protocol and propose to her second husband, but she gave up a lucrative career to take care of her child after giving birth, and later went back into the work force to become the first female senator of Massachusetts. Warren is definitely a new face for feminists and democrats alike. So let’s remember that you can radically change your life and make a difference in the world. With her powerful, practical speeches and her down-to-earth persona, all we can say is: I appreciate Elizabeth Warren and feel she is capable of being the president!
