We Don’t Want To Marry. We Want To Live

Have you ever tried asking the girl what she wants? Have you tried asking her what she wants to do in life? Does she want to work? At times even when she is working before marriage, she is not allowed to work after, why? Why can’t a girl have as much freedom after marriage too? If she would have the same freedom, then ‘marriage’ wouldn’t scare the several young girls today. Arrange Marriages are one of the biggest trends in Indian families today, though there are several exceptions. There are a million reasons to get a very young girl married, but maybe it’s high time you stop and think about what your daughter wants. What if she wants to study further? What if she wants to marry the man that she loves? What if she wants to become independent before she’s given away to her husband? What if she wants to make a career? There are so many things possible, but only if you ask your daughter.
