It takes more than just testicles to be a real man

You must have heard thousands of men saying–‘Be a Man’ or ‘MARD KO DARD NAHI HOTA’ and all those typical lines that may or may not suit them. Do these men really know what a real man is? What he does and what is he supposed to do?Do you know what a real man is and what is he supposed to do? Well, well, a real man treats women with respect. If you don’t respect women, you’re not a man. Period. A real man doesn’t stand still when it comes to helping a woman and he doesn’t even take advantage when he sees a woman is in need of help. He respects women for the fact that she is a human. He respects her for the fact that he is been born by another individual of the same gender. A real man realizes the fact that a woman is a creator, mother, sister and a wife who completes her responsibility without any fail. A real man does not need to be physically strong always, he just needs to respect every individual including a woman and treat her equally, and this is what makes him a real man! Respect Women is in continuous endeavour to empower women and to change the mindset of society towards women. It aims to awaken the humanity in men as well as women. In India, when a girl is born, the father is too much concerned about how to collect money for her marriage, but there a very few fathers who think of how to educate their daughters. We cannot blame the father solely; it’s the whole society who needs to be blamed for this mindset because it is the whole society who has contributed in this mindset of a patriarchal society?. While change is possible if we join hands and contribute to the cause, let’s come together and contribute to the cause of empowering women. Let’s think beyond women as a sexual entity and help the people around change too and maybe we could give our daughters, sisters and mother a safer place to live!
