Get startled while you have a clear look at this weird advertisement by Triumph, the lingerie brand. Now, try to spot the elements that capture your attention. What is it? A stunning model, a 36 C lacy bra, a not-so-eye-popping discount and a fleeting glance at the brand of the lingerie, in this very particular order. Right? But did you read the caption? ‘For the ladies, who pamper their dads’, and we are still trying to understand what it was? I mean how did Father’s Day even fit in between? Well, Triumph, somehow tried to fit in this rhetoric tagline into their advertisement, may be just to be in the limelight on Father’s Day on 21st June. And social media was quick to scorn this offensive ad and the movement gained an even more strength when Bollywood celebs savagely attacked the much illogical marketing gimmick. Have a look at what the B-town celebs tweeted about it:
Rishi Kapoor took to Twitter to blast the ad:
Brickbats to the Ad agency who delivered this thought. “Depraved Decadent Daddy’s Day”.Shameful Triumph shameful https://t.co/RLG9QCvbAg
